Train. Recover. Perform.

Get back to doing what you love- with a plan built for you

Whether you’re recovering from surgery, managing a nagging injury, or trying to stay active through the wear and tear of life, you deserve more than a 15-minute appointment and a generic handout.

One-on-one physical therapy and performance training proudly serving the West LA community.

A man with dark hair and wearing a black Nike shirt is crouching and gesturing with his hand in a conversation or instructional setting, with people and a camera in the background.

I work with people of all ages who take their health seriously- people who don’t just want to “feel okay,” but want to move well, stay active, and keep doing the things they love for a long time.

You might be:

• A weekend athlete dealing with a knee or shoulder that’s been slowing you down

• A high-level athlete looking to improve performance

• Someone post-surgery who wants to get back- all the way back- not just to “cleared”

• A gym-goer who keeps running into the same injury and wants to finally address it properly

• Someone with a history of ACL injury looking for a clinician who knows that road in depth

I have particular experience working with basketball players and athletes across a range of sports, and a focused interest in ACL rehabilitation — an area where the difference between a thorough, individualized approach and a generic one really shows.

Who I help

A man wearing a black baseball cap and white t-shirt is sitting on the floor of a gym, stretching his leg. A woman is lying on the floor next to him, holding her head with both hands. Several people are in the background, some standing and some sitting, in a gym setting.

My Story

I’m Andre, a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with over 11 years in sports medicine.

My background isn’t a straight line- and that’s the point.

I grew up between Hawaii and Tokyo- most of my formative years were spent navigating cultures, languages, and environments very different from each other, which has allowed me to become adaptable to many situations. In the clinic, that means I’m paying attention to more than just your movement patterns- the things left unsaid often tell me just as much as the ones that aren’t.

I’ve stood on the sidelines and on the court making split-second decisions about acute injuries. I’ve walked athletes through the long, unglamorous middle stretch of rehab. I’ve worked in strength and performance settings, understanding not just how bodies heal, but how they’re built. Across all of it, I’ve developed a perspective on injury and recovery that very few clinicians get to have: I’ve seen the whole picture.

That breadth of experience shapes how I work with every single person who walks through the door.

A young male athlete sitting on a bench with a bandage on his knee being attended to by a team member, with other athletes in sportswear standing nearby in a locker room or sports facility.
A young man with a beard wearing a white baseball cap and white t-shirt, with a towel draped over his shoulder, standing inside a gym or sports arena with basketball courts and fans in the background.

how i work

The problem with most PT experiences:

You pay a copay. You wait. You get 15 minutes with a clinician, then spend the rest of your hour with an aide doing exercises you’ve been doing for weeks. Nothing changes. You plateau. You wonder if this is just “as good as it gets.”

It doesn’t have to look like that.

Here, every session is one-on-one with me, not a tech or an aide. I don’t run multiple patients at once. You get my full attention, my full expertise, and a plan that is actually based on your body and your goals.

Two people can walk in describing the exact same knee pain and leave with completely different plans. That’s not a bug- that’s the whole point. How you move, what your life looks like, and where you want to get to all matter just as much as the injury itself.

Your first visit isn’t just an evaluation. It’s a strategy session.

We start by getting clear on two things: where you are right now, and where you want to be. From there, I identify what’s standing between those two points and build a plan to close that gap.

You’ll leave with a clearer picture of what’s going on, why it’s happening, and what we’re going to do about it.

Will that plan change? It might. Recovery isn’t always a straight line, and a good clinician adjusts based on how you respond. What won’t change is the commitment to keeping you informed, keeping the plan purposeful, and making sure every session is moving you toward something.

The goal, simply put: give you your life back.

FAQs

What services do you offer?

1

I specialize in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, with particular focus on ACL rehab, post-surgical recovery (including joint replacements), and sports and athletic injuries. Every patient receives a personalized, detailed home exercise program to support progress between sessions.

Beyond standard rehab, I also work with athletes and active individuals on return-to-sport training and post-rehab performance training — bridging the gap between "pain-free" and truly ready to compete or perform at full capacity. For patients who prefer the convenience, I offer concierge in-home physical therapy sessions at a slightly higher rate.

What areas do you serve?

2

I treat the primarily west Los Angeles community, including but not limited to Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, West LA, and Beverly Hills. Other neighborhoods may be available upon request.

do you accept my insurance?

3

I operate as an out-of-network, cash-pay physical therapy practice. This means I don't bill insurance directly, which allows for longer, one-on-one sessions with no visit caps or pre-authorization delays. You get consistent, individualized care from start to finish.

I provide a detailed superbill after each visit, which you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement (many PPO plans offer partial reimbursement, check your specific plan for details). I also accept HSA and FSA cards as payment.
